Summer School Almere offers over 19 different academic courses. The courses differ in duration and start date. A number of the courses will be held in both Almere and Barcelona. Come to the youngest Dutch city, and experience Dutch innovation at hand in just one summer. Almere is the newest town in the Netherlands; the first house was finished only in 1976. Today, Almere is the fastest growing city not only in the Netherlands, but also in the whole of Europe. Its development is still very much in full swing; the city is intended to be the county´s fourth largest city in 2030. Within its borders headquarters of major international companies (e.g. IBM) can be found, a centre for top sports, the architecture of the future is being developed, and an wide array of higher education institutions offering programs related to important themes for the city: the international new town institute, the university for applied sciences in agriculture and more.
